Add the shop update to your calendar 📆
There will be restocks of the Signature Sculpture Cups in the following styles: Mr. M, Lil' Prince and Otosan.
I planned to restock the dogs as well, but I got a little carried away and decided to try painting them in pink and blue…
The pink dogs came out okay and will be in the regular shop. The blues are a little “rough” (you can see paint strokes and some glaze imperfections) and will be on the exclusive Misfit Discounts Shop for club members (Join the club here).Btw, all misfits are never above $100~ they usually go for about $50-$80 depending on the item.
I also have a limited number of the new candles that are coming to the shop called Mikan Lady 🍊, just in time for tangerine season! Mikan is Japanese for tangerine, and I imagine this lady as maybe a mikan vendor. I have such wonderful memories of eating mikan with my Obachan (that means grandmother). They really are such a treasure.
I've collaborated with my expert candle-making cousin, Rachel Stapler to develop these very special small batch candles. You might remember the iconic candles sold at The Underground Museum in Los Angeles ~ Rachel was the creator behind them. I've worked with her to develop a special scent that gives a warm and inviting feel, with a soft sweetness that feels like a comforting hug. Gentle notes of citrus add a bright, sunny twist, creating a blend that’s both cozy and uplifting. It’s like the golden glow of late afternoon light—smooth, mellow, and quietly cheerful, with a hint of zest to awaken the senses. I can't wait for you to smell it!
The candles are hand poured, infused with good energy (thank you Rachel for your energetic process), and made with soy wax. When you are done with the candle it cleans easily out of the vessel for you to use for other things. The tangerine that rests on top can also fit on most cups~ I like to use my lid on my cup of coffee to keep it warm.
Anyway, these candles have taken hours and hours to develop, and are still going to transform a bit as I continue to make them, but I’m so excited I can share these with you now 🤲🏽.
